First Family Airplane Ride

For our trip to California to see our niece's baptism, we decided to surprise the kids with going on the plane this time.  Addison was the only one that had been on a plane before, and Saige was so worried about being the only one of her cousins who had not been on an airplane.

The morning of our trip, Grandma and Grandpa picked us up and we told the kids that we were dropping them off at the airport and driving their car the rest of the way to Oakland, CA.  We got to the airport, unloaded the luggage, lined the kids up on the curb, and dropped the big news.  "Guess who is going on the airplane?"  They all thought it was Addison because she is still three, but then we all said, "You Are!"

They were so surprised, and Saige danced around on the curb.  Ayden wasn't quite sure he wanted to go on the plane, until we made it into the airport.  Kelton was excited, but had been under the weather.  However, once we got on the plane, everyone thought it was the greatest!  They held their hands up like they were on a roller coaster during take off, and had a great time getting free drinks, peanut's and pretzels.

Ayden kept asking, "Why have we not crash landed yet?"  Which I am sure was comforting to all the other passengers.  We are not quite sure where that question came from, but he did not seem too concerned, just simply thought that was what was going to happen.  Chris and I could not stop smiling at our kids and how much fun they were having.

All the passengers commented afterwords about how good they all were and that it was so fun to fly with them and see how much fun they had.  After we landed the kids were able to sit in the cockpit and have their picture taken.  Yep, there is nothing like your first flight!
