While Ayden was in the hospital this last time some friends told us about an organization called Hope Kids - Restoring Hope. Transforming Lives. Hope kids is all about installing hope to children with cancer and other life threatening medical conditions. Each month they provide fun activities free of charge for these children and their families with the message that hope can be a powerful medicine.

What a touching experience it was to attend our first Hope Kids event and First Annual Christmas Party. We were able to have our own private showing of the movie BOLT with free popcorn and drinks for the kids, then we headed over to the Mayan for lunch, watched the divers, the kids had their faces painted and sat on Santa's lap. Santa had a gift for every child and a special gift for each Hope Kid. My heart was touch to see so many children suffering from so many diseases with smiles on there face having the time of there lives. I was also reminded that there is still so much good in the world, people still care about others and are willing to go the extra mile to make someone else smile. What a wonderful opportunity this will be for Ayden and our family.

We would like to give a special thanks to C.R. and Amy Oldam the directors over the SLC chapter as well as Scot Woodland - General Manager of the Mayan, Kevin Marshall - new owner of The Mayan, and the Larry H. Miller Charities.
